I don’t know about you, but I can’t think of a better way to start the day during the cold, winter months than having a delicious bowl of warm oatmeal for breakfast! There have been many studies that show the health benefits of eating oats. Some of these benefits include, but are not limited to:

  • Lowering cholesterol
  • may help reduce the risk of heart disease
  • help you feel fuller longer
  • may help lower blood pressure

So in honor of national oatmeal month and purely elizabeth’s ancient grain oatmeals and hot cereal hitting Whole Foods nationwide, purely elizabeth & I are hosting a giveaway!

  12. I usually make my oatmeal with cold almond butter, banana, and cinnamon on top. Sometimes I’ll add a few dark chocolate chips too!

  14. Favorite healthy oatmeal…cooked with a banana mashed into it with cinnamon, vanilla protein powder and raisins with granola on top. Favorite not as healthy option – any type of oatmeal cookie with chocolate chips. 🙂
